Correction: Backyard Burger (at least the Louisville location) does NOT currently have a Kids eat free day. We went there based on this website only to discover the error after we ordered. The employee said they might add one in the future though.

  2. Sammy 18 August 2009 at 10:50 pm Permalink

Sorry, but that’s why it says right there at the top: “Please call the restaurant location you plan on attending to get your free kids meal before you pack the kids in the car to go. Some of the individual restaurants may choose to opt out of the promotion or have slight differences.”

Thanks for the correction…it’s been deleted!

  3. Anna 20 August 2009 at 12:38 pm Permalink

FYI…The free kid’s meal at Shoney’s is actually kids under 4 eating from the buffet for free when an adult purchase. Just thought I would add that.

Applebees does not have a free kids meal day. Even though it says Monday’s at the top. Went there tonite just because it said kids eat free but found out that was not the case. I guess you shouldn’t believe everything you read.

  7. Sammy 24 August 2009 at 8:10 pm Permalink

One thing you *should* believe when you read it is this part, Sandy:

“Please call the restaurant location you plan on attending to get your free kids meal before you pack the kids in the car to go. ”

It’s that big bold type at the beginning of this page! 😉

    Now, don’t stop believin’!!!

Wanted to add that Our Best Restaurant in Fern Creek has a free kids entree with purchase of adult entree on Tuesdays. They also have a special room on that night where kids can do crafts, get face painting and they have also had a guy doing balloon animals before. It was fun.And the kids meals are a really good size (we always box up the leftovers for lunch the next day). We haven’t gone for over a month, so I would call first just to make sure they still do it…

Thanks so much for the info! And I promise, I read the bold at the top about checking with the restaurant before we load our 4 kids in the car to go! 🙂
As for McAlister’s Deli, I can confirm that kids eat free M-Th from 4p-9p, and even better is that on Weds, they have “Family Night” in Fern Creek (not sure of other locations). They have a staff member working in the dining area with something kid-friendly for your kids to do after they eat– sometimes it’s a craft, other times it’s Play-doh, coloring, etc.
Thanks for all the great info and ideas!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Buffalo Wild Wings Monday night .99 Kids meal is for Corporate stores only, which means only St. Matthews here is Louisville. Thanks for the info.

  29. Denise 20 October 2010 at 7:50 am Permalink

Just wanted to correct what Lee posted. None of the Buffalo Wild Wings (corporate or franchise) are doing a kids night on Mondays. (St Matthews is a franchise store, for those who are keeping score at home, not corporate). Thanks for removing us Sammy! I’ll definitely let you know if anything changes!

Thanks for the kind words, Black Smoke (if that IS your real name). It’s people like you who make the Internet so dern awesome!

Please note the big notice at the top, “Please call the restaurant location you plan on attending to get your free kids meal before you pack the kids in the car to go. Some of the individual restaurants may choose to opt out of the promotion or have slight differences.” That’s kind of like the notices on firecrackers that say “Do not light and put in mouth”, but I bet you don’t read those disclaimers either.

I know reading is tough for some people, but hey “diffrent” strokes, as they say.

I wish you the best of luck, even though you’re never coming back to my site again.

Oh, and I tried to email you to ask what information was incorrect (CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism makes things better), and man, you gave me the wrong email address. Shucks! We coulda been pen pals!

    Go feed them kids!

    Hugs & Kisses,

Kudos to you, Sammy, for putting all this information together. People should READ your disclaimer before making insulting remarks. It takes time to publish this FREE information. They should take the time to call ahead to verify as you have suggested.

Your kind responses to the negativity is commendable. Thank you for your efforts!
