Café LouLou

I’ve been hearing so much about this place, that I figured I should get around to checking it out. In August, they are also opening another location where SideStreet/Deli @ Douglass Loop used to be. That’s my neck of the woods, so I thought I’d get a head start and go ahead and fall in love with the place. Everyone else is, it seems! (for reasons I’ll get to after the jump…) […]

City Café

As much as it pains me to say this, I’ve never been a big fan of this “Keep Louisville Weird”, WFPK-supporting restaurant. It’s always just been kinda “meh” everytime I’ve been there. Then, I realized we hadn’t reviewed North End Cafe. Away we went.

This is probably one of the best breakfasts in town. Their lunch ain’t half bad either. Come to think of it, it’s a good place for dinner and drinks as well. What can’t this place do?

Crave Café

Hit & Miss

After a battle of cabin fever from the snow, we were all excited to have a beautiful sunny day to explore a new lunch spot. After some discussion we decided to try Crave Café at 2250 Frankfort Avenue. We had high expectations for this small, but inviting café. I had The Guido, a grilled chicken & pesto sandwich on a ciabatta bread, a cup of chicken artichoke soup and a side of bleu cheese slaw. The sandwich was average, while the soup seemed to be lacking. The combination of the vinegar dressing and blue cheese on the slaw was a bit overwhelming for my taste buds. […]
