In this episode, we re-review Luigi’s, a quick Italian place in the heart of the “tourist district” in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. I had forgotten that I had already reviewed this place until after I uploaded the podcast. What’s funny, is I rated it the exact same, and my meal choice was the same as well. Creature of habit, I am. Here’s the other review if you’re keeping score at home.

Although this is technically a chain restaurant (and we don’t review chains here…we all know what they taste like), this place (formerly Gumbo-a-Go-Go) started here and it’s still kinda small, unlike the taste and portions of this cajun fast-casual restaurant.
Yup, another barbecue place reviewed on LouisvilleLunch. I can’t help it! There are a lot of good BBQ joints here in beautiful Louisville, Kentucky! Actually, I wouldn’t call Fire Fresh a “joint”…it’s too classy for that. They’re looking to franchise this small Louisville-based chain throughout the Eastern Seaboard. If there are any investors reading this…GO START ONE OR TWO…IT’S GOOD BBQ! […]
I’m going to dub this “Italian Week at LouisvilleLunch.com”. Tonight’s Wednesday, and we’ve been to 3 italian places for lunch this week. WhatsaMattah with Us-ah? Ok, I promise never to say (or type) that again. Geesh.
So, Luigi’s…man, oh man. Jam recommended this place for lunch, and I was more than willing to try it. He’s been there a couple times and raved about it.
Ricky decided to head out with Jam and I today for lunch. Before we left, we made a list of possible places for us to vote on:
Toast was the last one mentioned (by Ricky) and we all excitedly agreed. Breakfast for lunch or dinner (and even breakfast!) is always a good thing for me. The place was packed and we had to wait about 10 minutes. Not bad for a Tuesday afternoon. […]
Settled in the middle of all the condos (who’s buying those things, anyway??) being built in downtown Louisville is DeVino’s Deli. Jam and I went there last week to get one of their HUGE slices of pizza. It really is some of the best New York style pizza in town. They also have a good selection of deli (and warm) sandwiches. […]
Typically, I really love this place. I don’t know if we just came on a bad day or what. Maybe it’s the recent remodeling that made them forget how to make great garlic fries. Who knows. […]
What hasn’t been said about this Louisville landmark? You know it, you love it (or maybe you hate it, I dunno). Even with the stink that came out a couple of months ago, the Highlands location was packed full Friday afternoon as my office-mates and veggie friend (who probably needs an alias now as well…we’ll call him Harry) paid our old stand-by another visit. […]
